Singer/Songwriter/Author Justin McRoberts has teamed up with artist Scott Erickson to create a unique new book centered around prayer, and they have just one week left on their Kickstarter campaign to fund the release.
"I have written 40 guided prayers and Scott Erickson has paired each prayer with beautiful, contemplative imagery," writes McRoberts in a recent campaign update. "Each of the book's seven sections is capped by reflections on the practice of prayer and each of those reflections points toward specific, suggested practices. It has been a joy to write and assemble. We think you're going to love it!"

Why I Think This Project Is Important
"Recent years have been marked my conversation about the departure of many (predominately Millennials) from institutional or traditional church settings. Part of that conversation has included work created by authors and musicians that has helped articulate the frustrations many of us feel with the traditional practice of faith, as it exists. Scott and I are both people who have a sincere love for the church, institutionally and cosmically. We affirm a lot of the critique we've heard and want to help expand that conversation a bit. While we value the articulations of what is wrong, we'd like to angle our work towards "What's next? What will we build?" The only real cure for bad culture is the creation of better culture. And we put this book together with that in mind. It's true that a lot of what it has looked like to practice faith no longer works or works for fewer people than it should. We have done this work in order to step into and be part of what's next for us, for you and for the church. By supporting this project, you're joining us in that.
